Pharmakon is an interactive installation produced in 2010 by Le Fresnoy.
Matthieu DDV quotes William Blake (Jerusalem) to introduce his work :
" If the perceptive organs change, the perceived objects seem to change ;
If the perceptive organs are closed, their objects seem to disappear"
The sculpture is a hybrid object exit of the deformation of a pilot's helmet equipped with
various cameras and sensors, fixed at a base and placed next to a suspended screen. The
work proposes the coexistence of a real sculpture and of its virtual counterpart in the
same space, by creating at the same time a reflection and a prolongation of the real object
in the virtual one.
Glass fiber, epoxy STL, electronics components.
